Millennials Speaker - Generation Y

Why the Millennial Generation Should be of Concern to You and Your Organization

First, this is the largest generation since the Boomers.  Secondly, as John’s keynote speeches regarding the Millennial generation emphasize, they are unlike any other generation in human history.  How?  In many ways, not the least of which is their brain physiology.  In fact, they are so different that John and his colleague Scott Degraffenreid have dubbed them People v.2.0.  They are effectively, a new version of human being.
Why are they different?  Events, technology, a different style of parenting, the continuously growing economy, the media, and entertainment  as well as a host of other strong influencers have converged on the Millennial generation as has never occurred before.  Millennials or Gen Y, as they are sometimes known, have been the recipients of the world we have created.  John speaks to all of these and more in his generational keynote speeches.

But WHY does this matter to you? Or should it? If you have any involvement in the marketplace, whether as a business, association, nonprofit or government agency, the fact that the Millennials are just now entering the marketplace WILL SOON IMPACT YOU, if it has not already.  John’s keynote speeches address this impact, in both its positive and negative aspects.  Some speakers who speak on generational issues love to bash Generation Y.  Not John, he loves this often misunderstood and berated millennial generation.

Not only are Millennials beginning to enter the workforce, but they are doing it in rapidly increasing numbers.  Furthermore, the boomers are simultaneously beginning to retire in even greater numbers.  In many labor markets, the net result is that there is one new worker entering the available labor pool for every two that are retiring.  The net result is already becoming an acute labor shortage.  Not only that, but as John points out in his keynote speeches, the Millennial workers have a “new” attitude toward work, employers and the lifestyle they are pursuing.

Taken together, the demographics, Millennials’ very different outlook on life and the pervasively inflexible structures of the current workplace are on a collision course.  Savvy employers are already beginning to realize both the complexity and immensity of this issue.  Those who decide to address it early will have a dramatic advantage over those who wait until the problem reaches a crisis level.

Why John Di Frances as the professional speaker to address your organization on Millennials / Gen Y?  Because he understands them!  Through extensive analysis and interaction, he will not only inform your audience about what is coming and for some, what  is already rapidly becoming the new employment reality, but more importantly John will provide them with the concrete measures that will make their organization millennial friendly.  Like it or not, the Millennials are coming and they very shortly will be the labor force you will be reliant upon.  Whether they will be successful in your organization is up to you.
