John Di Frances believes that client focus is essential to all of the work that he and the firm of DI FRANCES & ASSOCIATES, LLC undertakes.  That focus includes a determination to always act with the client’s best interests at heart.  Whether in determining what services to offer a client, how those services can best be performed to maximize the benefit the client receives or in matters as simple as the exercise of discretion in accruing travel expenses for a client’s account, John’s belief is to act for the client as he would on his own behalf.


“Serving our clients is a passion for me.  Each opportunity to speak and consult with our clients is a privilege, as it is their trust and confidence in me, and my firm as well as our meeting planner and bureau partners, which allows us to effectively serve them.  Thus, I view each engagement as a partnership with the client, designed to result in the maximum benefits to their organization.  Likewise, it is always a pleasure to build long term relationships with those event partners and bureaus, who care enough to invest into understanding the unique content and value I offer to their clients.
As a solution oriented business speaker and consultant, I am interested in achieving high value outcomes, both long and short term, for our clients.  Although audience applause is gratifying, unless the client sees real benefits arising from the engagement, whether keynote, facilitating or corporate retreat, they are unlikely to us again in the future.  Especially today, when organizations are highly cost and ROI conscious, it is their recognition of value received that converts them into a long term clients.  That is exactly what I focus on delivering!


Delivering value begins with my involvement early in the process to ensure that I am indeed the right speaker for their audience.  I would rather turn down an engagement, and I regularly do so and recommend someone better suited to the requirement, rather than to take an engagement where I cannot hit a home-run for the client and our event partners.  I learned many years ago, that it is better to serve a client by saying “no,” than by doing a less than stellar job.  They remember the honesty and concern and it comes back in the end.
